AIGLON LIFE CONDITIONS OF USE

A.PREAMBLE
1) Purpose
The website, available at www.aiglonlife.ch is a private professional social network provided by Aiglon College to allow its members (students, current parents, alumni, alumni parents, staff) to support each other, stay connected, facilitate networking, share opportunities, exchange advice, promote education, and foster career development. The website and its services are provided by the “AlumnForce” application published by MEVIA (a company registered with the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under number B 501 609 143, with headquarters at 93-97 rue Eugène Caron, 92400 Courbevoie, France.
These Terms of Use define the conditions for accessing and using the Site. Please read them carefully.
By activating your Account, requesting an Account, registering for an event, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms of Use in full.
2) Definitions
Terms beginning with a capital letter in these Terms of Use have the following meanings:
Platform refers to the Aiglon Life platform of Aiglon College accessible at www.aiglonlife.ch providing access to network services;
Members refers to registered users accessing services via an Account (students, current parents, alumni, alumni parents, staff), individuals registering for events, and Administrators;
Administrators refers to individuals authorised to use AlumnForce modules for management purposes on behalf of Aiglon College;
Account refers to a valid account giving access to site services;
Content refers to any content uploaded or accessible by Users (articles, events, directories, profiles, personal data, etc.);
Data Protection Laws: refers to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, to the extent applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Personal Data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person;
Modules refers to SaaS applications developed by AlumnForce;
Services refers to modules and additional services provided through the platform, as detailed in point 4.
B. TERMS OF USE
3) Scope
These Terms apply to all access and use of the Site services. They are accepted electronically when activating an Account and upon each update.
Users acknowledge having read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them.
Aiglon College reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes.
4) Description of Services Provided by Aiglon College
Aiglon College provides the following services:
School news, career opportunities, advice, events, and opportunities to support current students (including mentoring, volunteering, and donating).
Examples:
Collaborative news and content sharing (news, events, discussions, messaging, notifications, etc.)
User directory with profile access
Company directory
Networking via internal messaging and video conferencing
Internship services
Group participation services
Event Ticketing
Mentoring programme
Lifetime email alias service
External archive links
Requesting Official Documentation
These services aim to connect members of Aiglon College and foster professional development. All content on the Platform is protected by intellectual property laws. Users agree not to reproduce or distribute content without permission.
5) Access to Services
To access the Platform, Users must be affiliated with Aiglon College and have an active email address. Accounts must be created by an Administrator.
Students and alumni may access the Platform as of the age of 15 subject to formal parental consent.
Anonymous visitors can access public content but cannot interact unless registering and accepting the Terms.
Passwords are personal and confidential. Users are responsible for their security and should use strong passwords.
Users must have the necessary technical means to access the Site and ensure their system is secure and virus-free.
6) Personal Data Protection
The data controller is Aiglon College Services SA and its general privacy notice is available here.
Personal data collected includes identity, contact details, academic and professional information, and usage data.
Users have rights under Data Protection regulations including access, rectification, deletion, restriction, and portability of their data. Users can exercise their rights via their account or by contacting:

Aiglon College will not sell or share personal data with third parties except as specified: sharing with platform service providers to update members on school news, career opportunities, advice, events, and opportunities to support current students (including mentoring, volunteering, and donating).
Data Retention
Data is retained only as long as necessary for its intended purposes.
Security
Despite security measures (SSL/HTTPS, firewalls), Users acknowledge risks related to internet use.
C. CODE OF CONDUCT
7) General Users expectations
Using the Aiglon Life Platform is a service made available as a courtesy to Users. We want this space to reflect the school’s values and ethos. A key component of Aiglon’s Guiding Principles is respect, and as such, we expect Users to maintain the same guiding principles in their communication with one another and with the school after they leave the mountain.
All Users are to be treated with respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or any other characteristic. Engaging in any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive behaviour, including but not limited to verbal, written, or visual communication that is derogatory, threatening, or intimidating, is not permitted. Aiglon Life Administrators reserve the right to remove any posts that do not adhere to these guidelines.
In addition, we draw your attention to the following:
With respect to the school’s absolute commitment to safeguarding, we expect all alumni and adults using this platform to maintain clear and professional boundaries when interacting with Aiglon students, taking into account the inherent imbalance in any relationship between an adult and a minor.
It is not permitted to use the Platform for self-promotion, spamming, or advertising without prior permission from the platform administrators.
Users shall not disclose, share, or process the personal information of third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law. Collecting personal information for the purpose of creating, maintaining, or enriching any database is strictly prohibited.
Aiglon reserves the right to take legal action if Users engage in illegal activities through the Platform or exhibit behaviour (e.g. discrimination) that is legally repressive as per the Swiss Criminal Law.
Users are responsible for the content they post and must not publish illegal, offensive, or harmful material.
8)Mentorship programme
Users involved in the Mentorship programme must strictly follow the guidelines provided by the School—including the official Guide for Mentors—as well as any instructions issued by the Administrators. In particular, all communication and interactions between a Mentee and a Mentor must take place exclusively within the Platform.
Important information - Access to Mentor-Mentee conversations for safeguarding purpose
Users are formally notified here that Aiglon’s Designated Safeguarding Officers may review conversations between mentors and mentees solely for safeguarding purposes, specifically to protect minors and vulnerable individuals from harassment, grooming, exploitation, or any form of abuse.
D. FINAL PROVISIONS
Applicable Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of Switzerland. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in relation to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Vevey (Canton of Vaud), Switzerland.
