After graduating from Aiglon, what did you study at university?
I studied Fine Arts at New York University
Are there any courses or extracurricular activities at Aiglon that fuelled your passion for the art industry?
Skiing and going on expeditions, the mountains were a huge inspiration for me.
What was the best advice you received at the start of your career?
To take pictures of your art. Because even though it doesn't seem important at the moment, it will be one day.
What brought you to Mexico City and how has this city inspired your art?
I first went to Mexico City for Zona Maco, the art fair, in 2018. Then I came back the following year, and that is when I decided to move. The deep history and colourful architecture in the city, especially the Barragán houses, inspire me.
As a homage to Mexico, you launched a special book - could you please tell us more about it? Where can we find it?
Yes, the book is about a series of abstract paintings I created, which are a reinterpretation of Mexico City’s iconic colourful architecture, such as houses designed by Luis Barragán, Ricardo Legorreta, Mathias Goeritz, Javier Senosian, and Pedro Ramírez Vázquez. You can order the book directly from my publisher, Carla Zarebska, by emailing her at [email protected] or you can email me directly [email protected]

What has been a highlight of your journey as an artist so far?
Doing an exhibition of my Mexico City Architecture series in the iconic Barragán house, called Casa Pedregal. The owner, César Cervantes, used to have a large art collection, which he sold to buy the house. The only two paintings now hanging in Casa Pedregal are mine, which he bought after hosting my show.
What projects are you working on at the moment? Can you share any upcoming events or exhibitions?
I am now exploring a new technique in painting using natural dyes, a process I learned through artisans from Oaxaca. I have created my own series that I am very excited to share this year. In October, I will be exhibiting in a gallery in San José del Cabo, Baja California, and I also have another show in Mexico City at the Tamayo Museum. Additionally, I have a solo exhibition in New York City in November.
How can we connect with you? (Website? social media?)
